Where They Are And What They’re Doing: A Review And Celebration Of The Ongoing Success Of .ME Champions

We’re not the ones to forget our .ME champions once they set off on their journeys. After all, you can never forget your family!

You can lose touch with them for a while, though. I know I do.

Yet, when you hear from each other, even after a long time, it’s like nothing has changed.

And, this goes both for the family you were born into, and the family you’ve created for yourself. In fact, especially for the latter.

A Celebration Party For Our .ME Champions

Picture a large conference table filled with the most delicious food you can think of. A few bottles of champagne ready to be popped. Party hats. And, a couple of people that have started the party early, sneaking a few drinks before lunchtime. That’s what’s going on in .ME offices right now!

Okay, okay… That’s a lie and I’m busted.

If we were to throw a party for every successful .MEr out there, we’d never be able to do anything else.

What we can do is honor their success through a story.

A Story Too Big To Be Told

Again, if we were to write a story on the success of every .MEr, we’d never have time to do anything else. Years and years we would spend researching and writing… Still, we would never be able to bring the article to its end.

It is simply a story too big to be told! So many .ME champions, so many great achievements.

Not being able to cover it all, we chose to cover at least some of it. We chose to take a look at what a few of our champions are doing, and celebrate their progress.

Remember, though, a celebration of these .MErs is a celebration of all .MErs at once.

So, let’s check what the champions have been doing!

Nicole Peery – The Champion Of Courage And Creativity

Realizing that chasing success in the tech world inevitably leads to burnout instead of fulfillment, Nicole said: “Enough!”

She decided to do what most of us dream of, but often don’t have the guts to go for! Nicole waved goodbye to the tech career and adopted an RV lifestyle, freelancing on the go. Let’s see how that panned out for her.

Last we left her, Nicole was rebounding from a tech career burnout.

Ever since, she’s been devoted to her artwork and her freelancing career. With a strong writing portfolio, Nicole is winning clients left and right. All while experiencing the freedom of a home on wheels.

Furthermore, she continues selflessly sharing her knowledge through her website and her blog, inspiring other digital artists. Plus, her recent travel stories show that she is still exploring the wonders and the mysteries of Arizona.

It was L. Jampolsky, a leader in the field of psychology that said: “Ask yourself what is really important. Have the wisdom and the courage to build your life around your answer”.

And, it was Nicole Peery that did it. She built her life around what is important for her. Freedom, adventures, and love.

We admire this .ME champion for her courage and her creativity!

Taylor Wright Covering All Grounds

A photographer, a videographer, a content creator, a proud business owner… Taylor Wright, everybody!

Here is a .MEr who really spread his wings! Years of working with different clients have led to the evolution of his skill-set.

Social media content, website content, brand identity, animations, commercials, web development… Those are just some of the things that Taylor brings to the table. Which is probably why it hit him in 2017. He was ready to take things a step further and start his own business, Brokenimage Creative.

Not a couple of years later, he started another one. Creative Signage – born out of Taylor’s personal passion for signage. And for a job well done!

Fast forward to 2024, and business is going really well. From Align, a fitness and massage center, to Frida’s and the painting workshops, Taylor is covering all grounds. And, he’s doing it wonderfully.

Let’s give a shout out to another one of our successful .ME champions. Keep up the good work, Taylor!

Anita Li – A Testament To The Growth Of .ME Champions

A journalist on a mission, Anita Li is determined to revitalize the Canadian media industry. That doesn’t stop her from teaching journalism and consulting businesses on their own paths to success.

Moreover, Anita is a writer, an editor, a content strategist, and a public speaker. From strategic planning to remarkable journalism… You name it, she can do it!

It is her mix of many hobbies and passions that makes her great at what she does. Music, literature, visual arts, nature, tech, space… Evidently, her versatile interests lead to original ideas. And, as Anita puts it: “Ideas are most helpful when used in service of the greater good”.

So, that’s exactly what she does! 

For a while, it seemed that the only thing that was missing from her career was a CEO title. Until she got it, founding The Green Line, with the purpose of giving a voice to the underserved communities. So, that’s what’s new!

Obviously, 2023 was the year of great career growth for Anita. Crossing our fingers for 2024 to be the same. Although, knowing Anita, we’re sure it will be even better!

Hynek Zemanec Proving You Can Have It All

Meet a Czech freelance web developer fluent in Python, and a plethora of other programming languages. Plus, German and English. Hynek Zemanec.

Hynek has come a long way since he first grabbed his unique .ME domain. He built a great portfolio and did a wonderful job setting his brand apart.

The Driver’s Logbook, an app that lets you record your trip details, didn’t come as a surprise. After all, it came from a developer that enjoys traveling the world.

On a different note, the FactCheck framework, another one of his projects, allows users to easily check conflicting information online. Getting to the bottom of the truth. Certainly a noble cause.

Furthermore, Hynek seems to have come to a decision to make his Instagram page more active. Showing a whole different side to him. The side that enjoys nature, animals, and, most of all, photography.

This .ME champion reminds us all to relish the wonders of life while at the same time developing a career. Hynek is proof that you can really have it all!

.ME Champions Taking The World By The Storm

Far be it from us to forget our .ME champions once they set off on their journeys.

On the contrary, we are there to watch them all take the world by the storm. To support them and to celebrate them!

Granted, we might not have heard from each other for a long time. But, nothing has changed. You are all still our family. A family we are immensely proud of.

And, while we can’t pop that champagne bottle in the office, you can, wherever you are! Throw on those party hats and start celebrating. Give yourselves the credit you deserve!
