We provide the legal basis in the sections on data processing, but in general we may process your personal data if one of the following conditions applies. The following information refers to data processing of personal data from both natural persons (B2C) and responsible and/or contact persons of legal entities (B2B). Insofar as we obtain the data subject’s consent for processing of personal data, Art. 6 (1) Clause 1 (a) GDPR is the legal basis.
- In case of processing of personal data is necessary for the performance of a contract, the legal basis is Art. 6 (1) Clause 1 (b) GDPR. This also applies to processing operations that are necessary to carry out pre-contractual measures.
- Insofar as processing of personal data is necessary for the compliance of a legal obligation our company is subject to, the legal basis is Art. 6 (1) Clause 1 (c) GDPR.
- In the case that vital interests of the data subject or of another natural person require a processing of personal data, Art. 6 (1) Clause 1 (d) GDPR serves as the legal basis.
- If processing is necessary to protect a legitimate interest of our company or of a third party and if the interests, fundamental rights, and fundamental freedoms of the data subject do not outweigh these legitimate interests, the legal basis for processing is Art. 6 (1) Clause 1 (f) GDPR.
3. Security Of Processing
We use technical and organizational security measures in order to protect Data, in particular against accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, damage or attack by unauthorized persons. Our security measures are continuously improved in line with technological developments. This site uses DNSSEC and SSL or TLS encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or requests that you send to us as the site operator. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from “http://” to “https://” and by the lock symbol in your browser line.
HTTPS encrypts nearly all information sent between a client and a web service. It ensures
- The visitor’s connection is encrypted, obscuring URLs, cookies, and other sensitive metadata.
- The visitor is talking to the “real” website, and not to an impersonator or through a “man-in-the-middle”.
- The data sent between the visitor and the website has not been tampered with or modified.
Retention Periods – How Long We Keep Your Data
The data processed by us is erased or its processing is restricted in compliance with statutory requirements, in particular Art. 17 and Art. 18 GDPR. Unless expressly stated otherwise within the scope of this privacy statement, we erase data stored by us as soon as such is no longer required for the intended purpose. Data will be retained beyond the time at which the purpose ends only if such data is necessary for other, legally permissible purposes or if the data must continue to be retained due to statutory retention periods. In these cases, processing is restricted, i.e. it is blocked, and will not be processed for other purposes. A statutory retention obligation may exist, for example, due to documentation obligations under tax and corporate law. In certain cases, a longer retention period may be necessary, for example, for the purpose of preserving evidence within the framework of the statutory period of limitation.

It cannot be ruled out that Google Ireland Limited will transmit personal data to the holding company Google LLC (USA) as part of the commissioned processing. The USA is assessed by the European Court of Justice as a country with an insufficient level of data protection according to EU standards. Despite standard contractual clauses concluded between Google Ireland Limited and Google LLC, according to which Google LLC undertakes to maintain European data protection standards, there is a risk that your data may be processed by US authorities for control and monitoring purposes, possibly also without any legal remedy.

c. Crazy Egg
On the basis of our legitimate interests (i.e. our interest in the analysis, optimisation and operation of our websites in accordance with Art. 6 (1) Clause 1 (f) GDPR, we use the Crazy Egg analysis technology from Crazy Egg, Inc. 16220 Ridgeview Lane, La Mirada, CA, 90638 USA. We have concluded a data processing agreement and so-called EU standard contractual clauses with Crazy-Egg. Through this, Crazy-Egg offers a guarantee to comply with European data protection law.
Crazy Egg allows us to track the effects of various changes to a website (e.g. changes to input fields, design, etc.) within the framework of so-called “A/B-Testings”, “Clicktracking” and “Heatmaps”. A/B tests are designed to improve the usability and performance of online services. For example, users are presented with different versions of a website or its elements, such as input forms, on which the placement of the contents or labels of the navigation elements can differ. The behavior of users, e.g. length of time spent on the website or more frequent interaction with the elements, can then be used to determine which of these websites or elements are more suited to users’ needs. “Clicktracking” allows you to keep track of the movements of users within an entire online offering. Since the results of these tests are more accurate if the interaction of the users can be followed over a certain period of time (e.g. if a user likes to return), cookies are usually stored on your device for these test purposes. Technical data such as selected language, system, screen resolution and browser type are recorded. For technical reasons, this information is stored in a so-called session cookie. This means that this cookie is deleted after leaving the site and is not used to track users across multiple sites or to identify returning visitors. The information collected does not include passwords, the IP address is anonymized and the information is not shared with third parties.
Further information can be found in Crazy Egg’s privacy policy under https://www.crazyegg.com/privacy.
