Unajmite.Me Wants to Be the Craigslist of Croatia

Unajmite.Me is a brand new free advertisement portal from Croatia which wants to help people kick off their businesses to the public. In today’s economy, many businesses don’t have the budget for strong marketing campaigns and they would just like to be listed somewhere online.
The nice thing about Unajmite.Me is that it aims to reach every service provider in jobs where you can hire someone to do something for you. Services over products, in a way. Even the name of the site suggests it; Unajmite.Me translates directly to “Rent Me” or “Hire Me”.
Rent a Service Provider
Let’s say you’re a freelance web developer and you want to find some clients. You just started with your business, got some partners to help you out with all the actual work and now it’s time to promote yourself. Sure, you could try cold-calling, handing out printed flayers or even promote yourself in those local printed listing magazines.
Or, you could do some online marketing and probably get even better results; if you don’t have a budget for a website, try creating a Facebook fan page for your business and using services such as Unajmite.Me! Combine these two and you’re half-way there! Now it’s time to promote even harder on Unajmite.Me; if you feel like it, of course.
Some Things Are Worth The Money
OK, you’ve started with your free campaign on Unajmite.Me but now you want more; more inquiries, more visibility, more reach. Unajmite.Me has three paid packages as well – for prices starting at $20 per month up to $60 per month, you can get your ads displayed all over the site in very attractive locations.

However, the site could use some rethinking of its design. Almost every text is actually an image, which could be fine. However, the problem isn’t the image itself, but the decision to put white (bold) letters on a yellow surface – it’s really difficult to read something that way. And if you instinctively try to select the text to give it some contrast, you won’t be able to because, as mentioned, you can’t select the text in an image.
Unajmite.Me is a nice idea which probably will be useful to freelancers and anyone else selling something. Their problem, which is kind of an advantage, is that they are bound to SEE region, or to be more precise, to Croatia. If they went with English, Unajmite.Me would have a hard time pushing through the competition, but in a smaller market… it’s doable. Good luck Unajmite.Me!
