Travel.Me Will Make You Want To Pack Your Bags Right This Moment

5 min read,

To travel a lot is to live life to its fullest. You simply can’t understand a whole lot about the world around you if you haven’t at least visited some other places where you’re not familiar with everything. Today, traveling and social media go hand in hand, and there’s a lot of people documenting their travels on blogs and social media so it’s easy to get carried away.

But there’s, of course, a website that can help you with that. It doesn’t matter whether you’re a traveler, a blogger or simply enjoy a good view, Travel.ME will help you see the best travel-related content available, all in one place.

There’s no denying that social media is steadily changing the face (and the body, for that matter) of the travel industry. The travel industry worldwide is so big that it actually accounts for almost 7 and a half trillion dollars of contributions to the global economy. That’s a number very hard to imagine, right? And social media is walking hand in hand with those big numbers.

It’s hard to imagine traveling today with at least some sort of social app to accompany you. Making travel plans isn’t a linear experience anymore, as you’re probably dreaming of places you want to go after seeing them on someone’s Timeline. I know I do that all the time, and I’m not even that much of a traveler. According to a survey published in Adweek, more than half of Facebook users surveyed said that their friend’s photos inspired their travel plans and more than 70% post their travel adventures on social media.

Traveling Gone Social

Also, more than 70% of Americans say that they read reviews before deciding on their travel destinations. Research about your travels is becoming even more important than any other part of the experience for some people. Checking out the local food, places to go and interesting things can be done from miles away, and a lot of us decide to invest a little time beforehand to know what to expect when we arrive.

The multiple dimensions of social media, as well as apps like Google Trips, are steadily increasing revenues of everyone included in the industry, with brands also increasing the amount of money they invest in their promotions on different social media channels in the hopes of attracting new customers. AirBnb is even stepping up their game, by offering tailored experiences in the cities you visit with local people, inspired by the usage of social media, undoubtedly.

Blogging, besides social media, is also steadily becoming a force when it comes to the general influence on customers. There’s probably a travel blog for every single one of us, and if you’re not drooling over extremely well-made photos on Instagram and awesome Snapchats of travel bloggers, you’re probably reading their content about the places they visit and the things they see. A lot of big travel companies have their own bloggers that spread the word about the places you can travel with them, and there’s even a number of studies that tell us that we really do appreciate others’ opinions when it comes to our travels.

After all, if they’re there – they must know what it’s like, right?

Bloggers like Megan Claire are true opinion leaders and influencers, and the things they write about are getting the attention of thousands, just by being featured on blogs. These blogs aren’t only for show, of course. They tend to help you with a lot more than just food or drinks – they’re insights into the lives of the people who live in the places the bloggers visit, and for some people, that’s really what they’re after.

Pack Your Bags.

Scrolling through the Travel.ME site, I found myself bookmarking different blogs and pages associated with the site because of the sheer quality of content that’s on show. Travel.ME is a site owned by TUI Group, a world-renowned travel, and tourism company from Germany, that aggregates all of the content from the vast number of agencies and resorts related to TUI, and more.

Being the largest tourism and travel company in the world with more than 1,800 travel agencies, there’s sure a lot of great photos and blogs that come across Travel.ME. The site aggregates content from all of the corporation’s channels, as well as other blogs and sites, making a sleek, tiled look of great travel content every day. Combining photo posts with larger article links, you’re sure to lose a lot of time if you were to start exploring Travel.ME.

I was especially pleased about the combination of travel blogs, ideas, listicles and other content that is all well-arranged in one place. My favorite part of the page is the Discover button, that lets you browse the map of the world for the things you want to do. You can select any region of the world and then simply check out the things you can do and find there with ease, all combined with a sleek interface.

Traveling should be a joy, and finding travel ideas has never been easier than today with Travel.ME. The only problem is when will I find the time (and money) to visit all of those amazing places I’ve seen on this page?
