Thesa.Me: A Project For a Better Social Experience

3 min read,

Let’s face it. Staying in touch with your social feed today is harder than it ever was. Over the past decade numerous social networks like Facebook and Twitter have been created, and it goes without saying that today they are shaping our lives, whether we like it or not. Facebook, with it’s one billion users, is the largest social network out there and I couldn’t imagine my life without the information it provides me with. Almost everybody I know has it, and not to sound judgmental, but people who don’t have it are being looked upon strangely by the society.

Although Twitter is not as popular for staying in touch, it represents a vital tool which people use in media and in politics. All across the world offline media is quoting tweets, as politicians and other public personas use it as a unique PR service. It went mainstream a long time ago, and as Facebook, Twitter has also became an everyday subject. It accustomed us to a speedy information. Lots and lots of information.

Solving the Social Mess

Thesa.Me, an online web application organizer and content publisher, serves as a substitution for browsing through your social networks. It tries to solve the problem of multiple accounts and web pages by gathering all of user’s social feed in one, neatly designed web page. Thesa.Me takes information from social networks such as Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and WordPress and creates a unique online app.

This app helps users with all the missed content, hence allowing them to discover new dialogues and engage in more conversations with their friends. It also allows them to distribute content across multiple platforms by synchronizing information into relevant content categories, including status updates, articles, links, photos and videos.

Designed and developed by Greg Leuch as a final project at Auburn University, this concept takes on the task of creating an internet startup, one which aims to: “showcase a possible proof-of-concept for an online web application manager and distributive content publisher” as it creator says. It’s purpose is to explore data portability among web sites and to bring something new to the table.

Unfortunately, Thesa.Me is just a concept. It’s not available for use, but it sends out a clear message – organizing social feed is the way to go. If we take into consideration the fact that we are consuming more and more information every day, we’ll have to choose alternative ways which will help us stay on top of everything. Do you think that in the future we’ll consume social content this way? Take a look at the video bellow and give us your answer in the comments!
