Thermo.ME: How Cold Are You Today?
I do not know where you live, but here where I am it’s cold. Monday was crazy, it snowed most of the day and we measured more snow in one day than ever before. By ever, I mean it literally: EVER. Since the beginning of measuring snowfall, we measured most snow on ground in one day.
It seemed fitting to do a thermometer application review in this weather. So, we are presenting: Thermo.ME! A little, cute iPhone app that will tell you the outside temperature and compare it to yesterday’s.
Thermo.ME: Oldschool Feel For Your Shiny iOS Device
This free application will show you the temperature based on your location, so do allow it to access your location. It comes with a small ad at the bottom that can be deactivated by an in-app purchase. If you want to go ad free, it will cost you $0,99. The thermometer shows:
- current temperature
- what it actually feels like outside (temperature on your skin due to wind)
- yesterday’s temperature
You can, of course, deactivate the latter two in Settings. There you will be able to choose between Celsius or Fahrenheit values or activate or deactivate sounds. If you need more from this app, you can activate your own personal temperature tracker with Thermo History, an In-App upgrade that syncs automatically between iOS devices via iCloud.
The app is rated very highly on the AppStore, scoring 4.5/5. One of the reviwers wrote:

Nice interface. Clean app. Free and the developer updates. A rare bird to have a developer care enough about a free app and support it after awhile. Kudos my friend. I look forward to my next update. Maybe switchable backgrounds and thermometer designs ?
Honestly, this app will not stay on my phone once the review is done. It does not offer anything that improves my phone or my productivity and I am loaded with apps to begin with. Yes, it indeed is very pretty, but my default Weather app works just fine. I do not need to track the temperatures through days. If you do, you might wanna check out this application. It is available in AppStore for free, but History will cost you $0.99.
