The Avengers Bloggers: Why Iron Man Blogs While Black Widow Prefers Tumblr!

We’re all more or less familiar with superheroes. They’re everywhere you look, be it TV, movies (such as the new Captain America: Civil War) or just plain old comic books. Superheroes have been a fascination for generations, and will surely stay one of the most liked aspects of popular culture in years to come. But what happens when they start to blog?!
Sure, we know that Iron Man is a billionaire and philanthropist, but have you ever wondered what would he blog about if he were to spend his free days writing about topics he deems interesting? Well, fear not: we’re here to help. In this article, we will tell you how we believe superheroes should blog, from the examples of Iron Man, Captain America, Black Widow and Spiderman.
Captain America Would Blog About Politics
Platform: Blogger
Topic: Politics, history, military
The leader of the Avengers is a man who spent most of his days frozen because of some unusual circumstances that led him to spend the period since the world war 2 until the modern age in a block of ice. That, of course, can bring some rather unusual views on the world, considering a lot of the things we enjoy today weren’t around when Captain America was younger. But you shouldn’t confuse him with some old guy who isn’t worth anything because he is, in fact, an engineered super soldier whose education and training make him the best leader for the group. He possesses an extremely in-depth knowledge of history, war and all things related to the military, and that’s why he is one of the best people to blog. That is, of course, if he can get used to the modern tech.
Captain America would surely use the oldest and most “old school” platform available, such as Blogger, but the build he’d use would need to be as close to the original 1.0 version as possible, so it doesn’t get to complicated for the man who is not that into technology. So, plain and simple for Cpt. America, but what about the topics?
Well, because he is extremely well-versed in all things military, I’d presume that his blog would have something to do with military technology and tactics. He’d be the best man to comment on the situations developing in the areas of the world unfortunately affected by war, and also the best man to suggest some excellent solutions.
Also, considering he is a patriot like no other, and we’re sure he’d have a thing or two to say about politics and who he thinks would be the best to lead America in these times. Overall, a true patriot and a soldier who wants only the best for his country and the world.
Iron Man Would Do Gadget Reviews
Platform: WordPress with tons of plugins
Topic: Technology/lifestyle
We all know a thing or two about Tony Stark. The CEO of Stark Industries is an extremely rich, witty and humorous man, who fights crime and all sorts of threats to the world by climbing aboard one of his high-tech suits that have all sorts of cool features. Over time, he has designed and built a lot of suits and mechs for different purposes, even including a Hulk-buster suit designed to fight against Hulk, one of the strongest opponents in the entire Avengers series (when he’s not with the good guys).
But Tony Stark surely looks like a person who would have a lot to say about a thing or two. Firstly, his lifestyle revolves around fast cars, exotic locations, and overall expensive-looking things. He would probably write in the manner of some of the “kings of Instagram” today, with photos and articles showcasing his wealth and love for all things expensive, like reviews of fast cars or travel blogs to distant and exotic locations. I’m sure he’d put in a thing or two about some insider stuff from his company, perhaps a tour of the premises and a blog post about how he became the leader of the company or something. The other thing he’d surely write a lot about is tech.
Tony is famous for his extreme intellect and being a very smart person. He developed J.A.R.V.I.S. as his personal assistant and interface for his battle suits and routinely designs and develops cutting-edge technological inventions that help his life and job. Considering the platform, he’d definitely use WordPress, but overloaded with any and all plugins he could grab his hands on, and some he’d develop himself for sure. Tony Stark’s blog would be as advanced as his Iron Man suits, and equally impressive. It’s just not for older machines considering the sheer amount of bandwidth used to process all those plugins.
Spiderman / Peter Parker? A Photoblogger!
Platform: Medium, Fotojournal
Topic: All things student-related, photography
Everybody knows Spiderman. He’s one of the most liked characters in film ever, and has had his share of movie adaptations and comic books and even games. What some may not know is that Spiderman is also a part of the Avengers, which means he is also a part of this article.
A bite from a radioactive spider triggered strange mutations in Peter Parker’s body, allowing him to have superhuman strength, reflexes and the ability to shoot web from his hands which he uses for all sorts of purposes. He is often humorous, but somewhat anti-social and has trouble talking to girls. All of that perfectly describes a lot of younger men and adolescents which means that he’d probably blog about his everyday life and the troubles he’s facing. Pretty standard stuff for a young man, his posts would probably revolve around girls, music and an occasional longer story about his life.
He’s also a photographer which means he’d often blog about his photography, and use sites like Fotojournal to showcase his work. After all, with Fotojournal being an entire community based on photos, perhaps he’d be able to post a photo or two of Spiderman, just like he did with Daily Bugle.
When he’s not blogging about photography, he’d use Medium, a new platform that is oriented towards younger audiences, because he is in fact informed about everything student-related.
Black Widow Would Combine Everything She Loves
Platform: Tumblr
Topic: Balet, sport, fitness, anything inconspicuous
Black Widow (Natasha Romanova) is one of the most mysterious members of the Avengers team. Born in Russia in 1928, she is one of the world’s greatest spies and masters of disguise. As the member of the Black Widow Program, an association of elite sleeper agents, she trained to be a ballerina from a young age to cover up her true training. Not much is known about her life or interests, and that’s why we believe she’d blog about regular things not to compromise her cover. Nevertheless, her blog would be oriented towards things she enjoys, like balet and sports.
She’s similar to Captain America because she tends to age very slowly so she’d surely have some comments about how everything was different when she was young. She is also an amazing gymnast, a master of stealth and all sorts of combat, so she’d be able to write about any of that-if she wasn’t so secretive. Instead, aside from ballet she’d probably cover sports and offer fitness motivation because of her extreme skill with all types of training.
She’d prefer Tumblr because it’s one of the easiest networks to stay more or less anonymous on, and a place where she could share photos from her balet practices to further develop her disguise.
Or maybe not. We can’t really tell for sure.
This is everything the Avengers would do if they were bloggers in our world. What would your favourite comic book character blog about – and what would you learn from them?
