Never Too Cool For .ME Startup School: Ready, Set, Apply!

3 min read,

You may have noticed that we have a soft spot for startups here at .ME– not only are we incredibly proud when some of those .me domain holding teams make it big in the world, but we also want to help them get there. We’ve already told you all about our Spark.Me startup competition, but we’re not stopping there.

This year, in preparation for the Spark.Me conference, the .ME Registry is organizing a Startup School, which will be held on June 17-18 at the hotel “Mediteran” in sunny and techy Budva.

This two day program is aimed at startups in early stage of development, before their first investment, but regardless of the product development stage they are currently in.

We’ve gotten together an awesome team of lecturers, comprising:

  • John Biggs, the editor of TechCrunch,
  • Max Gurvits, partner at Teres Capital
  • Dilyan Dimitrov, co-founder of Eleven
  • Elina Zheleva, Design Thinking Evangelist
  • Jure Mikuz, Managing Partner at RSG Capital, Slovenia-based VC Fund
  • David Raskino, Entrepreneur, Coder, Director of Microsoft Ventures.

They will teach you how to grow your idea into a full-fledged business, approach media and investors, corner your market, where to find funding, and will cover many more startup related topics.

Looking Forward To Your Applications!

The School is free for all and the application period is open from April 15, 2014 until May 31, 2014.  When applying, make sure you put down the name of your startup, website (if you have one), short description of your startup idea, current phase of product development, and short bios of the team members. Send the required information to contact [at] spark.me, with the subject line “Application for Startup School.”

However, there will be a preselection, as the number of participants for the school is limited. The list of approved applications will be published on June 6th 2014.

Rock the Spark.Me Stage

In the meantime, don’t forget about our Startup Competition– best startups will get to take the stage at the Spark.Me conference and pitch in front of advisors, investors, industry experts and serial entrepreneurs, as well as have the chance to win a trip to a little event called Tech Crunch Disrupt Startup Alley!

All startups founded after September 10th2012 with less than $2.5 million in funding are eligible to apply, regardless of where they are registered, and the deadline is May 31st, 2014 at 23:59:59 UTC.

See you all in Budva!
