StartTrek.Me Podgorica Gathers Leading Regional Investors

3 min read,

If you didn’t know, Southeastern Europe’s most active seed investors visited a number of cities a few weeks ago and .Me hosted the Podgorica part of the tour entitled: StartTrek StartTrek.me, to be exact! Bulgarian based funds Eleven and LauncHub sent their representatives along with guests, including .Me’s very own Itana Prljević who talked about why domains were really important to tech companies.

The StartTrek tour included several cities and started in Belgrade, followed by Zagreb, Banja Luka, Podgorica and Pristina. Topics of presentations included what was hot in the startup world and how to approach accelerators, which helped the local communities get a better understanding of how startups and the investment community interacted with one another.

TourVia.me wants to be the ultimate solutions to plan all your travel. It uses aggregated data from various sources, such as Google Places, tourist websites, but also brochures when offline information is needed.

Heroj.me is actually more of a “social good” project than a startup. The team believes that every individiaul can change the world by small contributions. It wants to make ordinary citizens into heroes by letting them report issues that can be recolved by removing bureaucratic obstacles. You will be able to report issues via the Heroj mobile app or website. Others can then vote on how important the issues is and the platform handles the rest. Interestingly, you can create “areas” that matter to you most and watch all the issues that get reported for them – as well as giving support to what you personally deam important.
