Spark.Me: Why The Web-Savy Will Be in Budva Late-May

4 min read,

The beauty of working in a job where we showcase you some of the most interesting brands and projects around the web is that you bring a lot of value to a lot of people. However, online isn’t always enough, even for a domain name like us….

…which is why when the idea of Spark.Me sparked in our minds; we knew you’d love it. Multiple days of internet inspiration on the beautiful Montenegrin coast, home to the .ME domain name!

That’s exactly why we started Spark.Me back in 2013. and it’s developed into our own little success story!

Spark Your Ideas

Spark.Me, taking place on May 28th to 29th, is one of the best tech conferences in Europe, and this year, it’s better than ever. We’re not just bragging here, our own team led by Vladimir Vulić has been working for months to organize the best possible conference, with the best possible speakers, just for you.

Since its inception in 2013, the stage at Spark.Me has been walked on by speakers from Skype, TechCrunch, Dropbox, Prezi, About.Me, and many many more. It has also inspired numerous people, and through the magic that is networking, helped the formation of new companies and friendships that will last for years.

Spark.Me has always been more than just a tech conference. Set in the gorgeous city of Budva in late May, there is no better place – or time, to attend a conference. Spark.Me starts at the same time as the summer, so you can listen to world-class speakers and enjoy the gorgeous beaches of Budva, a plan I can recommend. Speaking of beaches, hanging around at the beach with other participants gives you the best setting for informal get-togethers and meeting new people that share your tech interests. And who knows, maybe you come up with a brilliant plan for a new project or company? You’ll thank us later.

The Best Speakers To Spark Your Ideas

Speaking of thanks, we should thank some mysterious forces for helping us secure some of the best speakers ever in this part of Europe, including Scott Morrison, who has over 20 years of experience in tech business, and has throughout his career worked for brands such as Diesel, Nike, Levi’s, and my personal favorite, considering my gaming obsession – Activision, on the Call of Duty, and Guitar Hero series. In recent years, he turned his attention to his new business, The Boom, which has already secured collaborations with Absolut, Starbucks, Red Bull and more.

We are also extremely pleased to welcome back Marvin Liao, who has more than 10 years of experience working at Yahoo! Inc., and is a mentor for several Startup Accelerator programs around the world. Danica Kombol, the CEO of Everywhere Agency, will also be joining us in May, to speak about her career in social media and influencer marketing, which has seen her work with Macy’s, Domain.Me and many others. She also worked on international versions of Sesame Street, and worked as a producer on shows like Saturday Night Live.

Scott, Danica, and Marvin will be joined by Jon Bradford, who specializes in providing science and tech entrepreneurs a place to help their businesses start to flourish, and Annie Machon, a former Intelligence officer for MI5, and now a writer, campaigner and an international public speaker as well as the European director of LEAP, and much much more.

Considering that we are yet to announce more speakers, we’re sure that every visitor will have his share of inspiration, and that there will be more world-class speakers to make this Spark.Me the best that ever was.

Have a Start Up? Well, Then…

Of course, Spark.Me will continue its tradition of bringing together great startups from all over the Europe in its annual Startup Competition. The rules and restrictions can be read on our official website, and we are very excited to see what great new ideas of the future we’ll encounter at this year’s Spark.Me. The short story: Win an expenses-paid trip for your startup to Techcrunch Disrupt!

So feel free to register, get yourself acquainted with the conference, and be the one that will get his spark lit at this year’s Spark.Me conference in Budva, Montenegro!
