ShoeAddicts.Me: The Instagram for Shoes is Actually Pretty Unique

This announcement might be a bit confusing for most boys, but most girls will probably dig it. Especially geeky girls that own an iPhone. ShoeAddicts.Me is a new mobile social networking app for shoes which will be released soon, and while you wait for it, we’ve managed to talk to Anela Senčar, co-creator of the app which can be described simply as Instagram for shoes.

The idea for such came from Anela Senčar and Pedja Pušelja Blogowski from Croatia. Anela explained how she’s into shoes, while Pedja is into apps and when you mix the two, you get ShoeAddicts. Although ShoeAddicts is being made in Croatia, the team (now consisting of four people) aims conquer the world.

Are You A ShoeAddict?

So, what does the app do? Since you’re reading about ShoeAddicts.Me, you probably love trends, fashion, shoes. Your favorite guilty pleasure is reading fashion magazines and looking for the next top trend in clothing. Now there’s an app for that! ShoeAddicts.Me will be the social network for shoes, where you’ll take stunning photos of your shoe collection in use; eg. while wearing them outdoors, stomping with your boots in the puddle of water etc.

The pictuers will appear in your Shoeline and if you like some other photos from other users, you won’t be able to like them. You’ll Heel Up them! The Vitrine tab of the app is something similar to the Popular tab in Instagram, where you can find some popular shoes worldwide.

There is a business plan behind this app of course. Pedja Pušelja, one of the co-founders says that users will have the ability to get information about locally (and globally) available discounts for some shoes, thanks to partnerships ShoeAddicts.Me plans to create with companies in that specific industry. In the future, you’ll be able to buy shoes directly from the app.
