RxmindMe for the iPhone Will Remind You About Each and Every Pill You Have to Take – for Free
Have to take a pill hourly, daily, weekly but you forget? Maybe not all the time, but sometimes. If you really have to take your medication regularly to stay healthy you should lower the chance of forgetting to take it with something that’s close to you all day long. Your iPhone for example, and for that you have RxmindMe, a free iOS application that will remind you to take your medication on time, every time. Just don’t forget to charge your battery đŸ˜‰
RxmindMe is one of those apps that just get the job done. Made with multitasking in mind, RxmindMe will remind you about your medication even when you’re doing your daily tasks, playing games, doing one of the many things you can do on your iPhone. RxmindMe uses iOS’ built-in notification system to remind you, which you can customize in your iPhone’s settings.
All Your Medication in One Place
You’ll find all your pills, vitamins and prescriptions under the Medications tab where you can add anything you want. When adding an individual medication, you will be able to add the name, search the FDA database, write in the route, the form, strength and a dozen other characteristics. If you stop using a particular medication for a number of months, you can archive it.

This lets you customize the medication you use wherever you are in the world. Why did we start by adding medication? It’s actually one of the few stumbling blocks of this great little app. You have to add your medication before you add a reminder, and no – you can’t add your medication when adding a reminder. While it’s pretty logical, I found myself adding a reminder that I couldn’t since it’s the first tab available and should, from a user experience point of view, let me add my medication there as well. Remember: medication then reminder.
Remind Me Every…
Day, hour, week, month or even specific date. Hell, there’s every option possible. You can add multiple times for each reminder for the days you pick. If you have to stop taking medication on a particular date, you can specify an end date. The nice thing about having separate reminders and medication is that you can add more than one pill for each reminder.

After you add your medication and reminders, you’ll find all the information on the Todays screen, where you can Take or Skip each reminder. While these are the most important features, you can also export all your data, specify the notification sound and even reschedule all your reminders from RxmindMe’s settings.

Nice. RxmindMe gets the job done and will even provide you with a tutorial when you start it up the first time. RxmindMe wants to be sure you know the app is for you, so they use Rxmind.Me for their official website. Apps like these can usually apply for the .Me domain development program – GetMe? đŸ˜‰ You can download RxmindMe for free on the iTunes App Store.
