Photography Friday: Meet Larry Field of CollegeStationPhotographer.Me
As we’ve already mentioned, photography is a fascinating combination of art and technology. To be a good photographer, you need to know a little (read: a lot) about both, and there are quite a few photographers in the world of .Me who combine those only seemingly opposing skills to create amazing work. As the first photographer that we’re going to present in the .ME domain photography series, we picked Larry Field, whose awesome work you can find at CollegeStationPhotographer.me.
Who Is Larry?
Larry Field in his own words is a husband, a father and a grandfather, a camera enthusiast who loves exploring new photo ideas, a running fanatic who doesn’t run enough and a huge 60s & 70s music fan. He lives in the Bryan/College Station, Texas area and he works with clients across the Brazos Valley and other Central Texas locations. As much as he likes to take photos of his family, he likes to take photos of your family. That gave him enough experience to handle every form of tantrum and meltdown you can imagine, even from dads.
There are many kind words that his clientele said about him, one of our favourites was this one:
“ Larry did an excellent job shooting my daughter’s senior photos. A photo shoot with 2 untrained dogs outside in a park is no easy endeavour especially when the dogs are 65 pounds each. He’s very experienced with kids and was flexible and spontaneous which made my daughter feel very relaxed and natural. The end result was many excellent photos. What Can They Do For You?
As a small business Larry Field Photography is using one of my personal favourite marketing techniques: referral program. Not only do you get a 100$ certificate as a returning client (and you can combine them!), but the person you referred to Larry also gets 100$ off for their photo shooting session. However, they also offer commercial photography services, indoors and outdoors. To add another awesome service, Larry Field Photography also offers 360º Virtual Tours of the interior and/or exterior of properties. This allows prospective clients to get a ‘feel’ for a property right on the computer and it works on Apple and Android devices.
What Larry offers and what you can ask of him is a venn diagram that almost overlaps completely. We have never met Larry, but if his personality is half of it what is presented online, we believe that even the shiest and most stuck-up of people will be able to relax. The most charming part of his site is the blog. Besides the photographs of the clients and/or events, you will be able to read about his and his client’s experiences on the photo-shoot.
