Croatian Startup Mogy.Me Wins Third Place At Hype Global Sports Innovation Competition Regional Finals

The Olympics aren’t just for the admiration of world-class sports, but also for us to take a break and think about all of the good that is done in the world, you’d agree. And speaking of good, Hype Global Sports Innovation competition’s finals will be taking place in the beautiful city of Rio de Janeiro at the same time as the Olympics. The competition itself gives the opportunity to sports-related startups to compete for large monetary prizes, as well as the opportunity to present their work to the world in the best possible way.

But before the startups that have earned their place in the finals go to Rio, they need to impress on the regional finals, one of which has just finished in San Francisco. And we’re extremely pleased that Mogy.ME participated in the regional finals of the Hype Global Sports Innovation competition in San Francisco-and won third place!

The competition this year was pretty harsh, and Mogy.ME didn’t have it very easy on their way to the finals. With over 70 000 startups from all over the world competing for the place in the finals, it’s really an accomplishment for a small Croatian startup to be able to go so far and be so successful.

An Amazing Success

What’s even more impressive is the result. In the said competition of thousands, they ended up as third in the regional finals, and congratulations are of course in order. CEO Andrej Radinger was of course very excited for the result and commented on the overall experience

We’re extremely pleased with the result. The competition was really huge and everyone who managed to get to the finals could’ve won without it being an error of some sort. This success is proof that we’re doing something good and that we’re on the right track, something that the entire team believes firmly from the start. We’ve made a few very useful contacts on the competition, and considering that our main strategic goal is to spread to foreign markets, this is a valuable and extremely useful experience.

Everyone that participated in the finals is now “on the radar” and this should make getting closer to some people that we view as important a little bit easier. Some doors have certainly opened. All in all, we’ll try to make the best out of the current situation and we’re working on it at the moment, and we’re expecting tangible results by the end of this year.
