Hey, Fashionistas, How About A (Digital) Personal Stylist?

Like it or not, every time you put some clothes on, you make a statement. Sometimes it as elaborate as “Oooh, look at me I’ve got (no) taste” and sometimes it’s a simple “I had no time to do my laundry” or “I really, really like this shirt so I’m wearing it the whole week” type of statement. Even those who don’t particularly care about fashion can find themselves in a position to ask themselves “What to wear on a date/meeting/party?”. In short there are times when everybody looks at their closet and think “I have no clue what to wear…”. Maybe instead of poking their head around the closet, they shoulld be checking Mirrow.Me.
Fashion!
You can say that Mirrow is your personal stylist with artificial intelligence. The best part is that unlike any other fashion adviser, this one won’t charge you anything for its advice. Yup, it is completely free, but unfortunately, only for Apple devices. And a really coolperk? It evolves with you. As your fashion sense and style changes, so will the app. It independently creates new looks from clothes you already have and it uses real time weather and offers only those outfits in which you will feel most comfortable. Taking care of your style and health, a stylist with a conscience? And just when you thought you have seen it all…
When it comes down to using the app it is quite simple. There are no tricks and it is straightforward. You add your clothing pieces and categorize them individually to the last detail. If you have a sweatshirt for example you will be able to say if it is with or without zipper, with or without a hood, its length, fit and material. Similar process is for all articles of clothing, of course it varies like the clothing itself. After that you can snap a picture of it and later, you can delete the it if you do not have that piece anymore so you can remove it from your app.
What to wear?
The most fun part is when you want the app to dress you up. It will use the weather report and suggest several combinations that you could wear. You can check them up and take a photo of a particular combination and store that too. That way you will have one photo for the whole thing and separate photos for the each piece. And it goes as far as to do color matching. After that comes the social part. You can publish your look so others can look at it, like it or dislike it.
It will not only make you a fashion critic, but it will help you too. As you browse and like or dislike other people’s looks, Mirrow will store that information too. That way, it will remember your preferences, and according to them, calculate and suggest you further looks. That way it can avoid suggesting combinations that you wouldn’t like. In the end it will suggest what to shop for. The only fault that we could find is, that its community is pretty small. It is a bit baffling, because it is great app for fashion users and occasional dabbers in fashion world. However, considering that it launched about a half a year ago, things could change.
Fashionista or not, Mirrow.Me is a great app. It is straightforward and intuitive with community component. It is especially helpful for those who don’t want to bother every day with combining clothing from their wardrobe. In the end, you will at least murmur miss Azalea and her hit “I’m so fancy…”
