Come in Hari Bhandari. Hari is an undergraduate computer science student at the University of York. Now a self-taught developer, Hari was always a curious and determined individual. Even before starting his formal education in computer science, he taught himself various programming languages, frameworks, and web development technologies.
Hari was driven by his love for solving mathematics and real-life problems and also finding ways to make things more efficient.
We are fortunate to have a talented and motivated young developer like Hari. But let’s start from the beginning and see what this .MEr has achieved so far.
Rising To The Challenge
Hari specializes in modern web technologies such as React.js and Node.js to create optimized websites. He mastered several programming languages, including: JavaScript, Python, SQL, C, C#, Pascal, and more. He is also well-versed in tools such as BootStrap, MongoDB, Express.js, Typescript, Photoshop, Firebase, and CI/CD. Hari is proficient in the use of Git, Figma, and Adobe XD, too.
With his passion for finding solutions and improving skills, Hari is well on his way to making a big impact in the tech industry.

A Young Developer Helping People In Need With BloodBank
Hari Bhandari’s BloodBank project is a prime example of his passion for solving real-life problems.
BloodBank was a side project aimed at addressing the shortage of blood donations in Nepal. Hari was disturbed by the fact that up to 38,000 blood donations were needed each year and wanted to help people in need. BloodBank was his solution to this problem, connecting users in need of blood with those willing to donate.
With BloodBank, users could easily find donors and requests based on blood type and location. BloodBank was built using the MERN (MongoDB, Express, React, Node) stack and had already attracted over 1000 users across Nepal.
BloodBank is a shining example of Hari’s determination and desire to make a positive impact.
Building a User-Friendly eCommerce Site
Hari has developed a robust and powerful eCommerce platform using the MERN stack. Its name is WiseCart.
The front end was built with Next.js and TypeScript, resulting in an exceptional user experience. This website allows users to effortlessly create, edit, and sell products through a seamlessly integrated payment system. To improve the shopping experience, the website features related item suggestions and quick search filters. Product pages are optimized for fast loading times and the platform boasts strong SEO.
WiseCart is hosted on DigitalOcean and includes an admin page where the user can manage products, track orders, update delivery progress, and perform various other tasks. The admin page provides the necessary tools and insights to ensure the smooth operation of the eCommerce platform.
A Milestone In A Young Developer’s Career: An Internship
Hari’s persistence and hard work paid off when he got a job at Dashing Distribution Software as a software engineering intern. He is tasked with building business web applications, being responsible for excess stock management, licensing portals, user tracking, and calendar integration.
This experience has given Hari a valuable opportunity to learn from industry experts and gain practical experience. You see, an internship can be an important stepping stone for young developers in their careers, providing them with hands-on experience and exposure to real-world projects.
As Hari points out in his post, mistakes are great learning opportunities. The greatest challenge he recently faced was to sync data between their new application and the Delphi application on a project utilizing the stack (React, Node.js, and Express.js).
Hari highlighted:
“I learned that when working with multiple systems and technologies, it is important to carefully analyze and compare the data structures, query methods, and protocols used by each system to ensure compatibility”.
And he adds that this experience also taught him an important life lesson: to own his mistakes, rather than blaming others.
