Key Findings
- Compared to the previous report, the minimal changes in major KPIs
such as the share of the developed domain category, domain
distribution by the registrar and by the registrant country and a decrease
in the number of domains suspended for abuse are indicative of the
healthy zone. - Distribution of DUM share by year (the domains registered in a specific
year that have not been deleted) suggests that the pandemic years
accelerated digitalization. The number of domains under management
from 2020 and 2021 is greater than the DUM from 2019, 2018 and 2017
combined.

- The fluctuations in the overall content tend to be organic and less
susceptible to trends. - Website content categories, especially developed domains, and
redirections, have their own dynamics that should be monitored more
frequently over longer periods of time.
Sharing of data and insights about the domain portfolio content and anti-abuse
activities will remain high on the .ME Registry’s agenda, as abuse mitigation
and the industry growth cannot be achieved without active participation of all
the stakeholders and continuous education of the public on all the aspects of
the DNS and Internet usage.
