The 2 Look-alikes That Will Make You Like Instagram’s Web Profiles Even More

2 min read,

World’s most popular photo sharing service Instagram announced on Monday that it’s slowly rolling out web profiles to users. This much anticipated feature sheds a new light onto this app which was not so long ago acquired by Facebook for a record breaking 1 billion US $. Interestingly, the new look reminds us of two important things that may make us use it even more!

Instagram hopes that the new profiles will encourage users to comment and share more photos, thus making those who haven’t signed up yet to do so for the upcoming holidays (Christmas photos will never be the same).

Nike was the first page that got the perks of using Instagram’s new web profile and you can
check it right on – Instagram, obviously.

New profiles are rolling out as you read, but if will probably take just a tad bit longer before
you get it (bear in mind that there are a lot of Instagramers out there), though it shouldn’t
be more than a week. If your profile is set to private than users who don’t follow you won’t
be able to see your photos (same as in the app). Users can check out their profiles on
www.instagram.com/[username]. You can log in with your existing username and password.

So What Does Instagram Actually Look Like?

Facebook: When it comes to design Instagram web profile resembles its big brothers (Facebook’s) Timeline profile to a certain point, although there are a few key differences that distinguish one from another. Cover photo is made up from several different photos that change every time you visit a page.

Polaroid albums: Furthermore, they are organized by months so that users have a neat way of managing their shots. Not to mention that profiles really remind us of old Polaroid albums our parents keep and cherish so much.

So… does that mean you’re going to use it more?
