In 2012., Don’t Tell Anyone You Want to Be The Next Google or Facebook
Happy New Year! It’s 2012. and you’re back at work working on your favorite web project. Do you want to create the next Facebook or have huge profits at the end of the year? Do you want to tell everyone about how your web startup is going to take over the world. Well, don’t. Contrary to popular belief, telling other’s about your goals (even if they aren’t related to the web) might not create more social pressure to achieve them.
In fact, it may just give you the feeling that you’ve already achieved it. Maybe that’s why a lot of startups think that they’re done even before they actually get to the end goal: creating an awesome web business.
Lets look at it from another point. You might have started your website or gotten an investor, but the journey isn’t over. Those aren’t your goals. Your goals are to build a great web project, a great web business in 2012. So don’t tell anyone – they’ll see soon enough.
