Help.Me Launched to Help Get Donations to the People of NY Affected by Hurricane Sandy

As you well know, Hurricane Sandy hit the Caribbean and the east of the US very hard, leaving a lot of people without shelter, food or electricity. New York was hit badly itself and although the .Me team is located in Montenegro on a whole other continent, we feel for those affected and that’s why a couple of days ago we launched Help.Me, a central place where you can find relevant and secure donation websites that will truly help those affected by Hurricane Sandy.
We would like to call on all our online partners to join in donating time, money or goods to the people of New York and New Jersey. The .Me team has a special relationship with the city of New York, with many of our partners and friends being some of the people calling NY their home.
.Me Loves NY
With Help.Me we want to make sure that donors know that they are donating to relevant and secure donation websites and that their funds have the greatest chance of reaching their intended targets. The website itself is very simple to use, with a huge Donate button that you can’t miss.

While it might be a small effort, we do hope the site truly helps get even more people help. The .Me Registry itself will donate one dollar from every domain registered between November 8 and 12. Please do consider visiting Help.Me so we can get even more support for those in NY affected by Hurricane Sandy – thank you!
