Everything You Need to Know About Spark.me 2018 Student Competition

4 min read,

At domain.me, May is our favorite month, and not just because of the birth of the Star Wars franchise. 🙂 May is also a synonym for Spark.me conference, one of the most carefully curated business/internet conferences in Southeast Europe. And this year, with many surprises we have in store, Spark.me is bigger than ever! 🙂

Since we started Spark.me as part of our CSR efforts in 2013, Spark.me has come a long way from a meeting point for a couple of dozen of tech enthusiasts and geeks to a must-visit tech and marketing event for the Balkan region and beyond. The mission of Spark.me from the very beginning was to improve the quality of life for people in Southeast Europe by raising awareness about the possibilities Internet and new technologies offer, through education, competition and networking opportunities. We are incredibly proud to say that this year, we expect more than 550 attendees from 20+ countries. And if you are a student and as enthusiastic about these topics as we are, we want to help you be there as well. 🙂

What is Spark.me 2018 Student Competition?

We want to encourage young people to make positive changes in their communities by using the perks of the digital age. Since the home country of Spark.me is Montenegro, we decided to organize Spark.me 2018 Student Competition for Montenegrin students and give you a chance to win a free conference ticket by using your spark to illuminate the world!

How to apply?

Students from Montenegro, aged 18-27 are eligible to apply. In order to enter the competition, all applicants are required to write an essay (up to 500 words) in English language, on the topic of “The Future of Social Media from the Perspective of a Millennial” and send it to: sparkdotme@gmail.com The essay should cover your opinion on how the new generations will dictate the use of social media in the future and provide answers on the following questions: What are the patterns you see in your own social media use and the practices of your peers? What are criteria you care about while choosing your means of communicating and presenting yourself to the world? The competition is individual and five best essays will be awarded with the Spark.me 2018 conference ticket. Submission deadline is May 19, 23:59:59 UTC. The list of five students who won free tickets for the conference will be published on the domain.me website on May 21.
