One of such startup events we feel very passionate about it is Tech.Co’s Startup of the Year program.
A Thousand Potential Friends
Each year, thousands of startups vie for a chance to compete at the annual Startup of the Year competition hosted at the Innovate! and Celebrate conference. Produced in partnership with Consumer Technology Association (CTA), the producers of CES, the 3-day event will happen in San Francisco in October 2017.

Tech.Co’s internal team and esteemed judges will choose the top 100 semifinalist startups from the applicant pool and invite them to the Innovate! and Celebrate conference where select judges and partners will narrow the pool down to the final five. Those five will pitch their companies to Silicon Valley’s top investors, and one will be crowned the winner.
We had an opportunity to be at Innovate! and Celebrate last year and it was a remarkable event with a unique atmosphere, which is why we wanted to take part in it this year as one of the supporting sponsors. We also love an opportunity to see one of .ME startups there, so don’t wait, apply now!
Competition Criteria
The organizers are looking for the most innovative early-stage companies out there from a variety of verticals. There are several criteria though:
- Startups must have less than $4 MM USD in funding
- Startups must be less than 4 years old
- Startups must have a live, operating product or service
- Startups must be INNOVATIVE!

In its 5th year, Innovate! and Celebrate 2017 will be a lively mix of startup founders, entrepreneurs, tech leaders, influencers, investors and industry experts from around the world coming together to share and learn with a goal to help you grow your business.
