Check.Me App: Having Your Own Personal Banker in Your Pocket

Clouds are everywhere- you can put everything online and access it from literally anywhere. Even if you are old fashioned and acknowledge only the good old clouds, don’t worry, they are still dispensing weather. But let’s get serious for a moment, cloud services are becoming an integral part of our daily life, even if you are not aware of that. Companies have been implementing cloud technologies for a long time, and now it is turn for some out-of-the-company and straight-to-you services. Services like Check.Me.
Check It Out
Don’t worry, it is not a peeping Tom company. To quote Forbes it is:
… an app that wants to kill off the checkbook.
It is a free mobile app that will help you to keep track of your bills and finance, so you never miss a bill or pay any late fees or get overdraft. In a way, it is your own personal banker in your pocket.
There is more than one advantage to usinf Check.Me. For starters, everything you needto monitor financially is in one place. Once you register and set the app up, your bank accounts, bills due to pay and investments are all screened in one simple place. But not only does it monitor, it will also analyze your balance and alert you if you have any fees or bills to pay, or if your debts are past their due date. Then you can pay them on the spot, or schedule payment for later.
Everything In One Place
After you download the app, you’ll have to set up your accounts and bill providers. It will do it in the same way you do it on their websites or apps. That is very practical because it will have all your accounts and bills in one place. They have more than 18.000 financial providers and billers on Check.me, so the chance that they won’t have what you are looking for is pretty small. However, if your provider is not there, you can submit a request and you will be notified once it is supported.
You can also pay bills that are not a part of your usual monthly fees, and the app will automatically, , refresh all accounts once a day, but i you can also do it manually. After you linked everything you want synced, Check.Me will analyze it so that they can alert you for things like exceeding credit card debt, overdrawing your account, if your bills are due, or debts are past due. ”File Cabinet” section will provide you with storage for bills, statements and receipts, so there will be no more manic searching through your paper files. Intuitive and eco-friendly, no stamps, no phone calls, no hassle
Security
Personally, I was thrilled with the functionalities of this app, but there is always one little conspiracy theorists in my head that screams ”What about the security!?”. In the end, we are talking about money, aren’t we? But have no worries, there are three layers of security. Bank level security is armed with same 128-bit encryption as your bank. In-app security and remote data destruct allows you, and only you, to access the app with a 4 digit PIN, and in case your smartphone is stolen, you can delete your account info. Last are the real-time alerts, that will notice you in case of any large or unusual charges in your account. Identity theft got a lot harder.
To quote Guy Goldstein, co-founder of Check.me with whom wedid an interview earlier this week:
Check is short, easily visualized and remembered.
It is extremely helpful because of its simple and effective user experience combined with easy money transfer. Being grown up and managing your finances got a lot less scary.
