Bunkr.Me: From Beta To 50 000 Users And A Spanking New Upgrade

Our blogger Hrvoje tested out a really great presentation making platform a while ago that went under the name of Bunkr.Me.
It is a simple way to replace presentation tools, bookmarks and collaborative management for hundreds of business with one product, he wrote, a cloud service that threatens Powerpoint and Keynote.
The really cool thing about it was that it was compatible with every OS because it’s web based, or rather, cloud-based, and it helps you create and organize all your presentations in one place on any device. No setup, simple to use and manage, and you can always export your work into .pdf or .pptx format.
From Beta To A Spanking New Version
But the story behind it is much more interesting than the mere what and how. It all began in Paris in early 2012, with the founders working in a public relations agency and – you guessed right – creating presentations on a daily basis, and felt they were spending too much time and energy on it.
As they found no solution that wold make their life easier, they decided to make it themselves, left their jobs in Paris, and moved to an apartment in Rouen to develop Bunkr full-time and revolutionize presentation creation. The beta was launched that same year in December, and it gained many a happy user.
Some 1500 of them, to be precise, and nearly 500 feedback messages later, the first public version of the Bunkr application was launched. This version was intended to unveil their vision to the general public and reveal their ambition of competing with the giant PowerPointby bringing a new value to the market, they recall. Some 35,000 users later, version 2 of the Bunkr was launched.
The team won many startup competitions with their product – at TNW Startup Awards, Web2Day, iPirates Summit, Pioneers Festival, Blend Mix Web, but still they decided more could be done.
Brand New, But Taking Care Of The Old
Now Bunkr’s gotten a spanking new upgrade:
Bunkr was already an excellent presentation tool, although, we believe that the most important factor on a presentation is the content available on the slides, which is why we decided to focus more on the type of information you put on your presentation.
So basically, it wants you to focus more on what you are presenting rather than on creating the presentation itself.
But fear not, even if Bunkr’s gotten a bit different, your old presentations are just fine – you will have up to six months to access and export your presentations as a PDF. And the new version is quite eye-catching, so I warmly suggest you go and check it out”
