Travel, Food, Lifestyle – A Matter of Taste Blog Has It All!

4 min read,

There’re all sorts of things you can write about. Be it technology, startups, food or cars, if you’re interested in writing and have something to say about a certain topic, your voice can surely reach a lot of people online. That’s precisely why blogs are more popular with each passing day, even though they’ve been around for quite some time.

Of course, if we look at the Internet, blogs are some of the most ancient forms available, considering that they’re older than most platforms we use today. What’s even better than blogs that cover a certain topic are blogs that cover a variety of topics that are related to each other, like traveling and food for example. It’s brilliant: people love to travel and to eat out while doing so. Combining these two things gets you some cool articles, and nobody would know better than Aga, who writes and maintains a blog called amatteroftaste.Me that brings food and travel closer to you.

Accessible, But Smart

The first thing that catches your attention on the blog is the carefully designed logo of the site, that consists of a large location icon that features cooking tools and both a camera and a travel bag. Aside from being cool-looking, it does showcase the main idea behind the blog pretty well.

A matter of taste is a blog about going places and enjoying them. Be it through food or other activities, it does an incredible job of showing places Aga visits in a nice and down to earth way. A lot of travel blogs make the mistake of trying to be too posh or to sound overly informational which makes them simply information givers, something a blog should of course be, but not exclusively. A good blog makes you see things from the perspective of the writer and adds a personal flavor to the mix of articles. After all, you would come back to a blog if the writer was more to your liking, and that’s a fact.

A matter of taste covers a wide variety of gourmet topics, from trying out ramen noodles in Melbourne to reviews of drinks such as coffee or cocktails in different countries, but the part that shines are recipes. Divided into categories, the recipes can range from burgers to cheesecakes and entire meals that make you just want to take a bite out of your computer screen.

Every recipe comes with its own short story of how it came to be and a detailed overview of all of the ingredients. A recipe for a Polish burger caught our attention, and we were pleased to see that some of the ingredients were written both in Polish and in English, considering the descent of the blog’s owner. A nice touch, for sure.

Not Just Food, And Not Just Traveling

Of course, there’s more than just food on this blog. There’re all sorts of stories from Aga that range from travel advice to the stories from her adventures. You can really get lost in the tips and tricks that can really come in handy someday while traveling, such as the 5 things you should do in Indonesia, or something similar.

There are also short recaps of the road trips Aga takes, ones that range from short road trips in cars to airplane rides. We were pleased to see an in-depth first look review of the Infiniti QX70 that Aga took a road trip with or a look at a trip to Japan by plane. The blog makes everything seem so friendly and easy to access, something that is indeed very important when it comes to generating great content.

Aside from great articles and photos, Aga is also present on Instagram, Snapchat, and YouTube, where it’s possible to see all of the latest things she eats, cooks or places she goes to. All of these platforms serve as an extension of the blog and are each unique in their own way. So if you’re a food geek, or perhaps in love with traveling or simply like a well-made blog that is written both casually and smart, you should definitely check out amatteroftaste.me get your daily dose of food, travels and much more.
